Why Salvage

All the time its is not possible to afford a brand new car. Or if you are Garage owner or a registered mechanic it would make sense getting some Salvage cars from auctions and then fixing them to get some better resale value. That is why Salvage Auctions are in great demand. Mostly in US, Canada and UK its a fledging industry.

Some cars are deemed Salvage by regulatory boards after major accidents or theft or similar conditions that makes then dangerous to be re used without proper fixing by a registered mechanic. Such cars are therefore sold at cheap rates. While it may be impossible for some people to lay hands on makes like Lamborghini of the show room it might me possible to get one of the salvage yards and then invest some more money to get them fixed.

Some Tips Before you Decide to Buy them

Just because it looks cheap it necessarily isn't. Your calculation should include the fixing charges as well. I mean you miht get a Ford Mustang for 5000$ which would cost $4000 to fix. At the same time You might get another Ford Mustang at $6000 that needs only $2000 to fix. So the second deal is the better deal actually. Make sure you take a good mechanic to access the condition of the car before you buy.

Some Cars may be just simply unusable. So there is no point buying them. Unless you want to extracts some of it parts to reuse of resale. Then make sure the car has all important parts. Some time the sellers removes some parts before handing them over to you. That is another stupid thing about Salvage yards but if you are careful then all is fine. Ideal place to get some good deals and wide options is Copart Auto Auction
